Fondly named after a small island off the coast of North Devon, the Lundy Old Boat collection features a range of outdoor bench seating made out of reclaimed fishing boats. The boats used to create the benches cannot be repaired for use on the sea and so are repurposed into furniture.
Emanating a beautifully rustic and nautical theme, our unique garden seats have the ability to transform any outdoor space into a tranquil haven with a maritime charm.
Every old boat has a slightly different shape, colour and individual identity that has been moulded over the decades by the sea. The boats are taken from one life into another using a recycling process that preserves the original aesthetic.
In order to retain as much of the old boat’s character as possible, the bench designs feature some of the original boat’s structural features, such as storage sections under the seat and the arm rest. These storage sections are very handy for storing blankets, or even a chilled bottle of wine or two! The original paintwork is also kept and enhanced.
